The JCI Communist Youth League Committee, under the guidance of Party Working Committee of Huxi Campus and Chongqing University Youth League Committee, focuses on two core tasks of leading the JCI League members ideological construction work, and serving their growth and becoming talents. JCI CYLC taking the initiative and work creatively on the fields of Student ideological and political education, university students' innovation and entrepreneurship, volunteer service and social practice, student society construction, student rights protection, campus culture construction, etc.. CYLC has six student departments and societies, including the Organization Department, the Publicity Department, the Science and Technology Association, the Youth Association, the Mental Health Association and the Debate Team. In addition, CYLC also guides the work of the Student Union. The JCI CYLC has always supported the leadership of the CPC, and is committed to building the front line of the advanced ideologies for students, providing opportunities for college students and league members to reinforce their convictions, exercise themselves and serve the society.

1）The Organization Department

Organization Department is responsible for the organization construction of the Youth League and the education and training of League’s cadres, including basic league work such as collecting statistics and fees of the league, and development of new league members. With the focus of team members and party branch secretary, the department carries out in-depth evaluation of five-star members, cultivates “Sunshine League Members”, plans and organizes theme activities, cultivates dynamic Youth League branches and outstanding “Youth league Day” activities, guides the branches to carry out the “three meetings, two systems and one lesson” work; cooperates with CQU CYLC to actively select “Qing Ma” engineering students, trains JCI members and cadres, and reorganizes the League branches. In addition, the department is responsible for the management of student cadres of JCI CYLC and the selection of scholarships and Titles of Honor of the CYLC, including appointment or dismissal of student cadres, files management, cadres evaluation, and “May 4th Evaluation”.

 

2）The Publicity Department

The Publicity Department is a basic and core department that is affiliated with CYLC and is in close relations with the departments of Youth League and Student Union. It conducts most timely and effectively publicity of the activities organized by JCI. It is also a platform to show the creativity and talents of JCI students as well as a window to highlight the splendor and characteristics of JCI. The department not only connects with the Communist Party and the Communist Youth League, acting as a disseminator of youth’s ideas, but also associates with the departments of the Youth League and Student Union. Besides, the department holds the latest information on the activities of JCI. During the process of JCI’s construction, the Publicity Department is playing its irreplaceable role.

 

3）The Youth Volunteers Association

Adhering to the volunteer spirit of “dedication, love, mutual assistance, and progress”, the Youth Volunteer Association of JCI will do our best to provide opportunities for students to be volunteers.

From “Book Drifting” soaked in light rain in September to “Warm Winter Action” accompanied by cold winds in the middle of winter, the association “invites you into the dream” by means of the flowers’ fragrance of March and helps you to relieve anxiety through the cicadas chirping of July.

At any time, the association is always here not only to provide you with information on volunteer activities at the earliest possible, but also to make you a volunteer planner, so that let you enjoy being a volunteer, and turn mature during volunteering. Youth is the best time in your life and the Youth Volunteers Association is waiting for you.

 

4）The Science & Technology Association

Established in 2013, the association is attached to the CYLC of JCI. It is a student association that mainly organizes scientific and technological activities. The activities usually include innovation and entrepreneurship lectures, academic competitions and lectures related to science and technology, such as the “Shusheng Forward Cup” Innovation and Entrepreneurship lectures held with other colleges, mathematical modeling contest experience sharing lectures, and robot control knowledge Lectures, etc. The members of the Association of Science & Technology also improve their scientific and technological ability when they are holding scientific and academic activities, so as to better serve the JCI students. The association aims to promote the prosperity and development as well as the popularization and promotion of science and technology, and to help the development and improvement of science and technology talents.

 

5）The Mental Health Association

We are the signs on the avenue, the beacon beside the sea and the sparks at the long night. We are the mentors who motivate you to move forward when you are stagnant, we are the good friends who listen to your bitter complaints when you are upset, we are the acquaintances who share joy with you when you are happy, and we are the brothers and sisters who are by your side as you go forward to achieve your dreams. In spring and autumn, we will warm your hearts with coffee. In summer, we will answer your questions and doubts through letters. When the gardenia is blooming, we express our minds with sign language. When the osmanthus fragrance is suffusing all around, we comfort students who are in trouble. We are the Mental Health Association of JCI.

 

6）The Debate Team

The Debate Team is a student society organization attached to the CYLC of JCI, which mainly conducts various debate activities in JCI. The main activities of DT include debate-related training, simulated debates of JCI, and participation in school-level freshman debates, other school-level debate competitions, as well as other debate-related competitions. DT has been established for five years, and the performance is improving every year. In 2018, DT won the championship of the freshman debate - “Six Courts”. Besides, the members of the team also won the "Best Debater" and" Excellent Debater” in school competitions. Because the JCI’s curriculum is special, the team takes freshmen as the main force to participate in school-level competitions. Therefore, the freshmen have various opportunities to fully exercise their personal abilities in the debate team. We believe this team will become better and better.
