Nextor (“RoboCon” Robot Competition)
JCI has created a professional and high-level internship platform and competition team by combining the college’s unique Co-op training model with its two majors - Mechanical Engineering and Its Automation and Electrical Engineering and Its Automation. At present, there are a total of 20 members in the robot team who are divided into two groups, namely the mechanical group responsible for the design and processing of the robot structure and the electronic control group responsible for the programming and debugging of robots. The two teams correspond to the two majors set up by JCI, which makes the development of the robot team have faster and more professional development. Students can combine theoretical knowledge and practical operations as well as participate in the top-level robotics competition against domestic college students, which broaden the students’ vision, allow them to have a deeper understanding of their own majors, and also help them to clarify their future research directions. In 2018, the “RoboCon” team of Chongqing University entered the domestic top 32 and participated in the national finals in Zoucheng, Shandong Province, and achieved excellent results.
